CENTRE OF SOCIO-PROFESSIONAL INTEGRATION

OF THOSE WHO COME FROM THE INSTITUTION

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

HOW CAN WE HELP THEM ?

We unfold different type of activities : ergo therapy, psychotherapy and a large variety of social activities.

We try the socio-professional integration of these young people with the help of qualified staff : project coordinator, welfare worker, psychologist, theolog and volunteers.

At the same time an extraordinary part plays the affectivity given, empathy, attention applied on these youngers.

A. The activity of the welfare worker and project coordinator has developed on more sides:

I.The aspect of behaviour contains the following activities :

-proper behaviour at home and in society

-learning and experimenting with different recipes

-correction of the inappropriate verbal language

-learning of songs

-improving the relationships and group communication

-learning to solving conflicts

II. The Educational aspect contains :

-learning of writing-reading if it's necessary

-borrowing books from the library

-professional counseling and orientation

Some of them (who were interested) were taught computer skills

 

III. The affective-emotional aspects contains:

-their orientation towards successful activities

-the forming of positive attitudes

-the principle of mutual respect

-the principal of cooperation

-improvement of the relations with friends and girls

- searching and finding the families ensures the development of feeling of affiliation and safety

 

IV. The ethic-moral Aspects contains:

 

-respect for the others rights

-formation of some moral and spiritual values

-formation of religious beliefs

- we insist on moral education trying to form a moral profile of the personality and socio- moral behaviour, in which way they can become persons with a high moral conscience

 

V.The social aspects contains:

-they keep in touch with the youth who is going to enter the house

-information about special services:

(doctor, post office, bank, library, police station)

-keeping touch with the real family (if it is possible)

 

VI. The spiritually aspects contains :

Most youngers proceeded from the disposal centre haven't got their baptism, thus after a biblical and moral preparation, these youngers are prepared for the baptism to live a life based on a Christian moral and they will be a part of the Christian community and shall establish a bundle with a good family, who can satisfy the need of affiliation to a sure environment.

Some of them are briefed to found a family, receiving the blessing of the marriage.

 

VII.Socio-psycho-cultural activities

Socio-psycho-cultural activities take place through the collaboration with the project's coordinator, the welfare workers, psychologist, the volunteers and different guests.

Thus, we celebrated the birthdays, we went out for picnics, we invited persons from different domains, we watched movies on different topics, we organized the Exhibition of icons in coal carried out by one of the House's dwellers .

We organized different sport activities, in order to get them familiar with the idea of a contest , to know the contest's feeling, wedding for one of the beneficiaries, who get married and now he has a family

We have celebrated Winter and Easter Holiday , Valentine's day.

B. The psychological program contains a variety of activities such as:

I Individual counseling

. -appropriate / inappropriate behavior

-personal accomplishments

-complains

-relationships within the group

-the youth's attitude towards society

-assuming responsibilities

-using an adequate language

 II Group counseling

- interior rules

- conflicts and their solution

- good manners

- the importance of a job

- behavior within the House and in society

- the importance of friends/families

- relationship with the staff

- doing creativity exercises and those of development of personality.

III Psychological testing

Give us the possibility to have a psychological portrait about them, about their feature, capacity, skills.

All this have allowed them to turn to something good, to become better then they were before, modifying their behavior, and in a way the personality.

IV  Social-psychological and cultural activities and their effects

The birthday of each resident is celebrate with all the usual prepares, participation of employs and other residents, guests that don't leave in the house, thus having a psychological effect on them: the respect and attention that the birthday-boy needs, sensation of emotional safety, contact with the society, persons that care about them and are important so they can establish new relations between people and emphasizing the idee of a family. All this can help the residents have trust in their own capacity.

With the occasion of the holidays, especially for Christmas, we have a dinner at a pizza-restaurant, thus we want the youngsters to be sociable, to learn how to behave and communicate in the society, to have trust in them and to appreciate their capacity.

Moreover, the picnics allow the residents to pass over the first obstacles and anxiety at the thought of going outside the house, the possibility of feeling in the offing and to unfold sport activities such as football so they can experiment the feeling of a contest, thus they will have the convince and feeling that they are also part of the community.

Invitating different persons is a possibility to know what is the perception about them in the world, if the world is interested in them, to learn new something about it. They can have their opinion if they read a book, a newspaper.


C. Activity Report of the Broom Manufacturing Workshop of " Saint Joseph " Orphanage

I The Aim of the Activities

The activity of manufacturing brooms in the workshop constitutes the practical-lucrative part of the project, having as an aim the professional reintegration of these young people.

II.  Target Group

The beneficiaries of the project, who are unemployed.

III. The unfolding of the Activity

A. The stages of manufacturing process

•  The cleaning of the sorghum from its seeds

•  The attaching and fastening of the sorghum to the broom sticks

•  Sewing the brooms

•  Final revision

•  Aesthetical finishing

B. The manufacturing process

The beneficiaries are guided by a foreman, who coordinates the workshop. He learns them how to develop their capacity and skill which is necessary to practice a profession.

Activitatea de confectionarea de maturi desfasurata in atelier constituie partea practic-lucrativa al proiectului,avand ca scop inlesnirea reintegrarii profesionale al rezidentilor.

IV. Psycho-social effects

- a job means many possibilities for them

- these young people will get used to a program, to a fixed timetable, to the idea that they are important for what they are responsible

- to assimilate the team spirit
