“SAINT JOSEPH” HOUSE

The Metropolitan Greek-Catholic Caritas from Blaj is a non-governmental association which work under the tutelage of the Roman United Greek-Catholic Church of the bishop in Alba-Iulia and Fagaras.

“Saint Joseph” Orphanage is a project of Greek-Catholic Metropolitan Caritas Association in Blaj, and has started in 2000, with 10 younger, which come from disposal centers-abandoned or orphans. Being looked on from an early age, these children at the age of 18-19 find themselves without protection, support, a job, a place where to live and many cases without any documents which would certify their identity. With great efforts they manage to decorate that place which could house these youth .

“Saint Joseph” Orphanage isn't a pension, more a preparing so after 2 years they can be ready for an independent life in the community.

The project has developed since 2003 with he help of some important sponsors, thus being able the working of it at professional standards.

The activity develops on two back-grounds: the formative-educative one and the profitable one.
